The overhead squat is the ultimate core exercise. If your core isn’t engaged the ohs won’t happen.
Top tips to perform an overhead squat:
Sit your hips back, press the knees out & don’t rush the squat.
Keep your chest lifted and focus your eyes ahead of you as you “turn your armpits forward”.
Keep EVERYTHING tight. Elevate the scapula, press into the bar, push through your feet into the floor.
